Priyanka condemns police action on RLD chief Jayant Chowdhary n demands DM’s suspension
The relentless fighter against injustice, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi while condemning the lathi welding Uttar Pradesh police inflicting injuries on the national Lok Dal president Jayant Chowdhary accused the UP government of having become anarchist and proudy. She also expressed her serious concern over this condemnable incident.
She accused the district magistrate of Hathras for the most shabby treatment towards the traumatised family of the slain Hathras girl and asked why has he not been suspended till yet.
Priyanka also QUESTIONED : Who is protecting him?
The Congress general secretary tweeted twice questioning the credibility of the UP government with regard to the Hathras incident.
Demanding immediate suspension of the Hathras district magistrate Priyanka Gandhi tweeted in Hindi ( translated in English) :
According to the distressed family of Hathras the worst behaviour was of the DM. Who is protecting him? He should be immediately terminated and an enquiry of his role should be initiated forthwith.
When the family is asking for the judicial enquiry why is the SIT enquiry going on after CBI inquiry ? Priyanka tweeted.
In another tweet she wrote : The behaviour of the UP police on the national president of Lok Dal was highly condemnable. Such violence on the opposition leaders ? This is the indication of the proud and anarchy of the UP government.
Perhaps they have forgotten that ours’ is a democratic country.
The countrymen would remind them about this fact said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in her second tweet.
It may be recalled that Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi alongwith general secretaries Mukul Wasnik, K. C. Venugopal, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, all MPS had visited the family of the deceased girl in Hathras on Saturday to express their deepest condolences and assuring them of the Congress party’s fullest support to seek due justice.
Today Rashtriya Lok Dal president Jayant Chowdhary n his party workers who were going to visit the anguished family had a scuffle with the police in Hathras and were badly beaten by lathies with several leaders of RLD injured.
