PM Modi to unitedly and resiliently carry forward India US bilateral relations to greater heights, Rahul says it’s a dawn of new chapter in USA

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated Ms. Kamala Harris on assumption of office as Vice President of the United States of America.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said “Congratulations to @KamalaHarris on being sworn-in as @VP. It is a historic occasion. Looking forward to interacting with her to make India-USA relations more robust. The India-USA partnership is beneficial for our planet.”

The prime minister in his earlier tweets congratulated the US president Joe Biden on his assumption of office on 20 TH January as president of United States of America with optimism of looking forward to working with him in strengthening US India strategic partnership in the near future.

He further added that the India US partnership is based on the shared values as both the countries have the multifaceted bilateral agenda, growing economic engagement and vibrant people to people linkages.

Prime minister Modi reiterated his commited resolve to working with President Joe Biden to take the India US partnership to even greater heights.

Prime minister Modi yesterday felt an important need for facing global challenges unitedly and resiliently with US and advancing global peace and security while extending his good wishes to Biden for a successful term as US president ahead.

it may be recalled that the president Joe Biden and Vice president elect Kamala Harris of Indian origin have taken oath on 20 TH February after outgoing president Donald Trump leaving office as the US president. The Republican supporters of former US president Trump had ransacked the Capitol Hill building protesting against the democrats n its president elect Biden for alleged irregularities in the election results with the former’s WhatsApp twitter n Facebook accounts suspended by the US administration in order to stop Trump from provocating his supporters. There have been impeachment resolutions passed against the former president for misusing his office in this regard.

The former Congress president Rahul Gandhi too congratulated US president Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on taking oaths terming it as the dawn of a new chapter in United states, tweeting: Congratulating the USA on a new chapter of democracy. Best wishes to president Biden and Vice President Harris.
