Legendary singer SP Balasubramanium succumbed to Covid 19

An eminent legendary mellifluous singer SP Bala Subramanium is no more sending shock waves all over the country especially in Southern India, Southern n Mumbai film industry, including his millions of fans globally.

SP Balasubramanium breathed his last today at 13.04 PM in a private hospital at Chennai after suffering from dreaded Covid 19 at the age of 74.

Admitted in MGM Healthcare hospital, the doctors looking after him tried their level best but could not revive him after he suffered a severe cardiac arrest.

Popularly known as SPB, blessed with a melodious voice SP Balasubramaniam had sung more than forty thousand songs in his melliflous voice spanning his singing career of five protracted decades with a fan following of millions at the pan India level.

Primarily an exceptional legendary singer of the South having rendered his singing voice to stalwarts of Southern movies ranging from MGR to Shivaji Ganeshan to the current prominent actors SP Balasubramanium was also credited for being a voice over artist for superstars of the Southern films like Kamal Hassan for his Telugu movies.

Being a versatile singer and actor he also acted in several Telugu films impressing one and all by his outstanding histrionics.

Having sung more than forty thousand songs in 16 different languages during his fifty year protracted enlightened career as an outstanding singer SP Balasubramanium was extremely popular in Bollywood among his millions of Hindi movie fans as well, who are still fond of his mesmerising hindi songs of various super hit movies.

Apart from being an iconic singer ruling the hearts of millions of his admirers SP Balasubramanium was also an actor, music director n producer of eminence.

He was bestowed with six national awards for Southern films n one prestigious film fare award for his outstanding singing in several Hindi movies.

His melodious singing in Salman Khan n Kamal Hasan starrer movies HUM AAPKE HAIN KAUN and EK DUJE KE LIYE respectively won the hearts of millions of his fans globally.

Legendary singer SP Balasubramanium also sung in hindi films viz Roza of Mani Ratnam, Chennai Express, Saajan etc winning hearts of crores of his admirers.

The passing away of iconic singer SP Balasubramanium is a great national loss, the void extremely difficult to be filled in future. His untimely sad demise is indeed a national tragedy especially to crores of his admirers in Southern n Mumbai film industry. May his soul rest in peace.
