Rajasthan crisis : Vasundhara Raje meets Nadda, BSP MLAs file writ in Supreme Court

While the date of 14th August is nearing when Rajasthan Assembly will witness the floor test of the Congress MLAs supporting the Rajasthan’s incumbent chief minister Ashok Gehlot after the banner of revolt raised by the former deputy CM of Rajasthan n his 18 loyalist lawmakers, the former chief minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje Scindia has also met the national BJP president Jai Prakash Nadda n the organising secretary Santosh etc to reassure them that she is very much with the party thus trying to prove her loyalty especially in view of the recent accusations of her going apart, having soft corner towards Ashok Gehlot.

There have been reports about Vasundhara Raje’s complete absence during the current political developments in Rajasthan with no mention of her presence and activity when BJP was allegedly trying to hobnob with rebel Congress leader Sachin Pilot n his loyalist MLAs to subvert the Congress government as charged by the incumbent Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot.

There are also reports that twelve of the Vasundhara Raje loyal MLAs have been shifted to Gujarat. It is believed that former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje had come to Delhi on Wednesday n is here busy meeting with senior BJP leaders especially the party Chief JP Nadda to prove her loyalty towards him n the party to put at rest all the rumours about her being in league with the incumbent Congress CM Ashok Gehlot etc.

Meanwhile, the six BSP MLAs have today filed a petition in the Supreme Court with a request to shift their case from Rajasthan high court to the apex court regarding their disqualification appeal by the BSP n the BJP MLA.

It is believed that the hearing in the case is due for next week. While hectic activities are on, in every camp, Congress n BJP, the rebel Congress leader Sachin Pilot has not opened his cards till yet with his loyalist 18 MLAs still camping in a hotel in Haryana.

Despite Ashok Gehlot casting so much of aspersions on Sachin Pilot pronouncing him as NIKKAMMA n NAKKARA n toppling his govt with BJP, the later has till date exercised a complete silence though probably also meeting Priyanka n Rahul briefly.

There are no words from both these Congress leaders as well relating to Rajasthan crisis and on Sachin Pilot. However senior leaders like Digvijay Singh, Kamalnath, Kapil Sibal, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Abhishek Manu Singhvi etc have till date accused Sachin Pilot of wrongdoing and tried to pacify him publicly on camera but Sachin Pilot has never lost his control n preferred to be silent.

But latest reports suggest that extremely confident of winning the floor test with 102 MLAs in his favour, incumbent chief minister Ashok Gehlot is worried after the BSP chief’s adamant attitude n petition n BJP MLA’s case in Rajasthan High court fearing that if anything untoward happens his chances would be bleak as he’s already facing rebellion from Sachin Pilot’s camp of 21 MLAs ( 18 Congress rebels n 3 independent MLAs) as claimed by Sachin Pilot. Having the back n full support of the Rajasthan’s incumbent CM Ashok Gehlot, the six BSP MLAs who’d joined Congress n formally merged in 2018 have moved to Supreme court urging to transfer their case filed in Rajasthan High Court seeking their disqualification for alleged defence of the BSP’ whip in favour of the Congress , to the apex court. The single bench of Rajasthan High Court will next week hear the BJP n BSP’s petition against the merger of six BSP with Congress in Rajasthan.
