Indian Americans are keeping India’s prestige high in United States of America especially after the Democrats returning to power with first Indo American Kamala Harris being elected the Vice President of USA next to Joe Biden.
Currently seventeen Indo Americans are serving in White house on various significant official assignments bestowed on them by president Joe Biden but the latest news about another Indo American with roots in India Bhavya Lal makes Indians thrill who has been appointed to a significant position Acting chief of staff / Executive chief of American space agency NASA.
Having been in the transition team of Joe Biden, Bhavya Lal is primarily a space scientist.
According to the statement of NASA Bhavya is fully capable for this significant NASA position as she possesses all the perfect requisite qualifications and experience of engineering and space technology having already worked in White House policy department and National Space Council for pretty long time, including being the member and researcher in the Science and Technology Policy Institute of US from 2005 to 2020.
The NASA statement on Monday further added that in addition to possessing enough experience as space technologist and on space technology and policy Bhavya Lal has also worked in White house in Policy and National Space Council having in depth knowledge in not only department of defence but also in Space Council Community.
Bhavya Lal had been advising NASA earlier as well, having led the National Association Administration Committee of NASA twice.
She is also credited for being the Advisory Council member in NASA, having worked for protracted years in CSTPS LLC, becoming its president later on.
After this assignment she was appointed as the member of the White house Space Intelligence Committee. Later on prestigious American Nuclear Society and two govt companies associated with emerging technology appointed her their Advisor.
A shining n brilliant student since beginning Bhavya Lal completed her engineering from Mesachusetus Institute of Technology, US followed by achieving doctorate in public policy and public administration.
The United States President Joe Biden after assuming the new responsibility has made some analytical changes in Space Agency. It was then that Bhavya Lal was accorded this significant responsibilty. Bhavya Lal served on five National Academy of Sciences, engineering and medicines ( NASEM) committees including one on Space Nuclear Propulsion Technologies being set to be released in 2021 and also published more than fifty papers in peer reviewed journals and conferences proceedings.
