Uttarakhand Governor accords her consent to the appointment of Ashok Kumar as DGP

The 1989 Indian Police Service officer n currently the Director General ( Law and Order) Uttarakhand, Ashok Kumar Aggrawal has been elevated to the post of new DGP in lieu of Anil Raturi, an upright officer of impeccable integrity who is retiring on 30th November. The governor of Uttarakhand Baby Rani Maurya have accorded her consent and Mr. Ashok Kumar Aggrawal would be joining as the new DGP of Uttarakhand on 30th November, the day his predecessor is retiring. IPS Ashok Kumar had served as the Haridwar SP, SSP and then DG ( law or order) etc with a jovial n affable nature with excellent service track record. Three names of IPS officers of Uttarakhand cadre were recommended for this post viz MA Ganapathy ( IPS R – 1986 ), Ashok Kumar ( IPS RR – 1989) and Vinay Kumar ( IPS- RR 1990). Out of three IPS officers the governor of Uttarakhand has accorded her consent to the candidature of IPS of 1989 cadre Ashok Kumar Aggrawal cleared by Union Public Service Commission.
