After being diagnosed with infection in the lungs due to pneumonia, the Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat already suffering from Covid 19, has been urgently shifted in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, trauma centre today.
The chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat was shifted from home isolation in Dehradun first to Doon hospital and then to AIIMS, DELHI, where he had been twice IN quarantine) in September n June, after his cabinet colleagues Satpal Maharaj and OSD n staff members were diagnosed with Corona infection, finally himself infected with Covid 19 on 18 th December.
The CM had given the information about his confirmation of being the Covid 19 case through a tweet advising those who had come in his contact should also get themselves tested for Covid 19 as a precautionery measure.
After being in home isolation for more than a week, he complained of fever and uneasiness and was admitted in Doon hospital.
While doctor Mr Agrawal a nodal officer of Covid 19 had said that the CM’s condition is stable and there’s no need to worry, making undue speculations, sources say that he had been suffering from pneumonia while in home isolation adversely affecting his health after contracting Covid 19.
On the advise of Dr. Bisht the CM was shifted to AIIMS through a chopper alongwith his daughter and wife who had also tested positive for Covid 19.
According to a statement of the CMO of Doon hospital, the chief minister Trivendra Rawat has been admitted to AIIMS. A physician looking after the chief minister Dr. NS Bisht said that infection has been detected in his chest due to pneumonia after being tested positive for Covid 19 on December 18.
However, Rawat’s media advisor Ramesh Bhatt has in a Facebook post said that there is no need to worry as the condition of the CM is quite stable. He has been admitted in AIIMS for routine medical tests as advised by the docters treating him in Doon hospital added Ramesh Bhatt. . It may be recalled that while at home in isolation Chief minister Rawat had been busy online and had also attended the proceedings of the assembly via vedio conferencing becoming too much strained. His OSD n few staff members were also infected with Covid 19 including his driver earlier after which he had gone into home isolation but had resumed office thereafter finally having contracted Corina virus on December 18. His one of the OSDs had unfortunately succumbed to Covid 19 two months ago.
