Delhi govt gives 1 Crore compensation to technical supervisor of LNJP late Charan Singh’s wife

The chief minister of national capital territory of Delhi Arvind Kejrival today met the aggrieved wife and family members of the Corina Warrior late Charan Singh who died of Covid 19 pandemic while performing his official duty at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Covid hospital.

He was the technical supervisor in LNJP hospital which had been fully converted as the first Covid 19 Delhi government hospital by the government.

While expressing his deepest condolences towards the bereaved family of late Charan Singh, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival presened a cheque of Rs. One Crore to his wife in the presence of senior officers n doctors.

It may be recalled that Mr. Kejrival had earlier announced that the Delhi government would provide Rs one crore financial compensation to the bereaved families of Corona Warriors who sacrifice their lives during their line of duty in hospitals and Covid 19 related services.

Two Delhi policemen n ex Armymen were also given compensation of Rs one crore each in the past who died while performing their official duties. It’s indeed a highly appreciable gesture.

Just two days ago a Pithoragarh resident working in private job as a Tempo driver had died in Minto Bridge tragedy after his tempo was completely submerged in the over flooded water under the bridge in view of blockade of storm water drains n other outlets during the excessive rains, leaving behind his anguished n distressed two adolescent daughers n a wife. Kundan Singh was 56 years old n was the only earning member of the family. The Delhi government has accorded financial compensation of Rs. Ten Lakh quite less than other beneficiary distressed families nor has any member of the deceased’s family been provided employment on compensatory grounds.
