Covid 19 vaccine to be innoculated free says Dr. Harshvardhan

The union health minister Dr. Harshvardhan has while responding to the questions of the reporters said that the Covid 19 vaccine likely to arrive in the month of January would be innoculated free of cost across the country.

Dr. Harshvardhan was answering to the queries of reporters today while he was inspecting the dry run of the vaccination in few Delhi hospitals.

When asked by a reporter whether the Covid 19 vaccine would be given free of cost to the countrymen as has been announced by the Delhi government, Dr. Harhvardhan replied not only in Delhi but in the entire country it will be innoculated free of cost.

In a tweet with his posted vedio clip he wrote: In the first phase of Covid 19 vaccination, free vaccine shall be provided across the nation to most prioritised beneficieries that include 1 crore healthcare & 2 crore frontline workers. Details of how further 27 crore priority beneficiaries are to be vaccinated until July are being finalised, tweeted Harshvardhan.

It may be recalled that the Drugs Controller of India has already granted permission/ authorisation to Serum Institute of India, Poona to innoculate vaccine initially on emergency basis and the other two vaccine candidates are likely to get the approval shortly.

The prime minister Narendra Modi had in his speech three days ago assured that the Covid 19 vaccines will be innoculated in the month of January with three vaccines viz Pfizer, indigenously manufactured Covaxin and Oxford Asterazeneca already in the final stage of getting the government’s formal approval.
