The Uttarakhand government has given relief to the unemployed youths of Uttarakhand applying for jobs by extending their age limit by six months. This concession has been given in view of the Covid 19 lockdown that was imposed earlier restricting most of the job seekers to apply against vacancies for various posts thus losing their age limits.
This annoucement providing a quite a relief to those who’d completed their maximum age deadline due to lockdown was made by the Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Wednesday.
This decision to provide relief of six months in the age deadline for job seekers who had crossed their age limit of 42 yrs is being lauded by thousands of applicants through social media.
It may be recalled that during the lockdown of the last 6 to 8 months, lot of job seekers in the state government in various departments have crossed their maximum age limit of 42 yrs as their were no chances to apply for jobs during the pandemic lockdown nor were the government jobs advertised in required numbers.
This decision of the chief minister may help those who had crossed their maximum age limit due to the Covid 19 lockdown during the past more than six months, to apply against the current vacancies in Uttarakhand. The entire businesses and the local and interstate transport including job avenues were shut down during the lockdown resulting in people crossing their age limits as job seekers.
While the ruling party leaders and supporters are lauding this decision of Trivendra Singh Rawat the opposition parties are saying that it’s a decision to befool the electorates as there are hardly vacancies in the state. This announcement is no less than a political gimmick say the opposition party leaders inorder to misguide the state’s electorate in view of the fast approaching state elections.
