Delhi NCR and Haryana felt earthquake of 4.6 magnitude on RS

Delhi, Haryana, NCR and adjoining areas today experienced an earthquake of 4.6 magnitude ( intensity) on Richter scale at 9.8 PM creating panic and fear among people.

Being a third rather fifth earthquake though not of high intensity in the month of May in and around Delhi, NCR n Haryana when the entire country is already under the grave panic n danger of Corona pandemic with all the people staying indoors, tonight’s earthquake was 3. 5 kilometres deep with its epic centre being at Rohtak, Haryana which is just 50 kilometres away from Delhi.

The quake of few days back which was of 3.6 magnitude on richter scale had the epic centre in Pritampura. Yesterday also there was a minor trembling activity in Faridabad in Haryana say sources. The tectonic plates’ activities in and around Delhi for five times in a month of May are definitely worrisome and moreover Delhi has already been declared as the earthquake prone zone by seismologists.

There have been reports that the current earthquake of 8 to 10 seconds has put the Delhites in extreme fear who unambiguously felt the tremors especially those living in multistoreyed buildings. What is more surprising and worrisome factor is that Rohtak experienced a second earthquake at 10.00 PM of merely 2.9 magnitude.

This is indeed a disturbing trend as this would be the fourth earthquake in a month as Rohtak is merely 50 kilometres away from Delhi, hardly fifty minutes distance from Delhi.
