You have no moral right to continue says Priyanka to UP CM expressing her annoyance over the Hathras tragedy
There have been national outrage against the most dastardly, horrendous n heinous crime committed against a twenty year old girl hailing from the Schedule caste community in Hathras blaming the UP government and it’s police for their lackadaisical, negligent and inefficient attitude in handling this most obnoxious, shameful and tragic incident of gang rape n subsequent death of the victim in Safdarjung hospital just two days ago.
Various anti BJP political parties including the Congress, BSP, Samajwadi party n the left etc are losing no opportunity to accuse the UP CM Yogi Adityanath of complete failure of the law n order situation in UP with shameful incidents of sexual assaults n crime against women on regular spurt with no relief to women in the offing.
The Congress general secretary, in-charge of Uttar Pradesh who is always on the anti Yogi criticism mode on various issues of public interest especially burning issues related to Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi has today demanded the saffron clad chief minister’s resignation blaming him for showing total negligence for complete two weeks and forming the SIT after the prime minister Narendra Modi directed him to take stringent measures against the culprits.
She questioned : Yogiji, What type of chief minister are you? Why had you not initiated any remedial action 15 days ago when this heinous crime was committed ? Were U waiting for the PM to phone you asked Priyanka Gandhi on a vedio message posted in her twitter account.
Extremely furious and annoyed Priyanka said there is no security and safety of women in Uttar Pradesh.
Under the title RESIGN the tweet addressed to UP CM Priyanka again wrote : Instead of protecting the victim and her family your government became complicit in depriving her of every single human right, even in death. She added: You have no moral write to continue.
In a series of tweets addressed to CM UP Yogi Adityanath, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi wrote: Instead of protecting the victim and her family, your government became complicit of depriving her ( deceased girl after gang rape) of every single human right, even in death. You have no moral right to continue tweeted Priyanka. She also asked : Who gave the orders to forcefully snatch the dead body from the parents of the deceased girl ? Where were U sleeping for the last 7 days? Why didn’t you came into action? Till when would all this go? What type of chief Minister are you?
She added that when she spoke to the father of the girl, he was telling me that all he wanted was justice for his child. Last night he was robbed of the chance to take his daughter home for the last time and perform her last rights added Priyanka in her another tweet.
She was badly furious saying that the Uttar Pradesh police has snatched their basic rights to perform their daughter’s last rites and burned her body themselves without even allowing the grief stricken parents to bid her the final adieu.
Similarly echoing the same sentiments n protesting against the UP government on Hathras gangrape n death of the victim, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi while expressing his total disenchantment tweeted : A daughter of India is raped n murdered, the facts concealed and in the end her family’s last wishes n rights to perform their daughter’s last rites are also snatched. This is insulting and unjustifiable tweeted Rahul Gandhi.
