The engaging epic Ramayana gains 170 million viewers in just four telecasts

In the first week of pre-telecast of DD’s classic show, Ramayan TRP rating breaks records, and it gets 170 million viewers worldwide with four shows. The channel telecast Ramayan every day, and it runs twice a day at 9 am, and 9 pm and Mahabharat also telecasted in DD one at noon and another at 7 pm.

The 21-day lockdown, which was announced by the government many television shows were not able to shoot due to this lockdown and have started re-telecasting prior episodes. Doordarshan started Ramayan and Mahabharat, and in the first week itself, the TRP breaks the records with 170 million viewers worldwide in four shows. The famous historical drama has the highest TRP rating for any Hindi General Entertainment Channel show since 2015.

The re-telecast of this show is to entertain the audience who are currently quarantining themselves at home. Not only Ramayan, but the channel has also started to re-telecast classic shows like Mahabharat, Dekh Bhai Dekh, etc. These shows not only making the viewers entertain as it is making them revive their memories and also making an introduction to a new generation.
