Sonia n Rahul leave for US. She’s gone for annual medical check up

The Congress president Sonia Gandhi alongwith with her son Rahul Gandhi had gone abroad for annual routine medical check. The information was shared by the party’s chief spokesman and newly appointed general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala through his tweet. Mrs Sonia Gandhi would be back after after two weeks. Both the mother son duo have gone to United States of America.

Rahul will return back in a week’s time after his sister n Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra joins her ailing mother in US.

Just a day before the party president Sonia Gandhi has rejigged the organisation and reconstituted the 135 year old party to rejuvenate it paving the way for Rahul Gandhi for his election as the new chief to be held after six months.

The monsoon session will be starting from 14th September on Monday which seems to be quite stormy with issues like China India stand off, Covid 19 n the regression in the economy to dominate the Lok Sabha.

Congress president Sonia n Rahul Gandhi would be missing this session but sources reveal that Rahul may join it after a week.

He had attended the Parliamentary defence standing committee meeting two days ago. However, in the absence of the Congress president Sonia Gandhi n Rahul Gandhi, the newly constituted high level committee comprising of Dr. Manmohan Singh, A. K. Antony, Ahmed Patel n Mukul Wasnik would take care about the issues to be raised in the monsoon session with the government listing 33 bills to be taken up during this session.
