Rahul Roy admitted in Mumbai hospital in ICU after suffering from brain stroke in Kargil
Fifty two year old prominent actor of Bollywood who started his career as a hero in a renowned director, producer Mahesh Bhatt’s super duper hit movie ASHIQUEE with a new comer heroine Anu Agrawal in 1990, followed by sapne Sajan ke n Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Ayegi etc has suffered a brain stroke in Kargil while shooting for the new film LAC live: The Battle, and is currently in ICU of Nanawati hospital Mumbai as per the latest news. However, as per the statement of his brother Rahul Roy is improving n in stable condition.
The movie being directed by Nitin Gupta was undergoing shooting for the last seventeen days in Kargil, likely to be completed with Rahul Roy doing the lead role of a Colonel alongwith fourteen contestants of “Yes boss” also doing different roles.
The tremendous cold in Kargil during the winters have probably clotted blood in Rahul Roy’s brain leading to brain stroke. He was ferried to Mumbai and is currently in Mumbai’s Nanawati Hospital in ICU. He has been suffering from “Aphasia” which affects the power of speaking, writing and understanding things, till one is not fully recovered.
After doing good number of Bollywood films after his debut in Ashique , and winner of the first season of Big Boss in 2006 tall n handsome Bollywood actor n former model Rahul Roy also did lead role as hero in films like Phir Teri Yaad Ayegi with Karishma Kapoor, Sapne Sajan Ke, Naseeb, Junoon including in television serials like The miracles of destiny, Karishma etc.
Despite being quite a tall, handsome and popular actor as a hero in several Bollywood movies, Rahul Roy was out of the scene in Indian Film Industry for several years, the current movie ” LAC Live – The Battle, being his re entry in Bollywood after a prolonged gap of one and a half decade. But unfortunately he suffered a brain stroke and is now in the ICU of a Mumbai hospital. Latest news reports suggest that the condition of Rahul Roy is improving n he is talking as well. The director of the novice Nitin Gupta who is himself a doctor as well, is bearing the total hospital expenses of Rahul Roy reveal Etimes.
According to Gupta Rahul Roy stayed back in a hotel at Kargil after being free from shooting on 23 rd November to enjoy the weather but suffered from a mild stroke after he was not able to express himself n was immediately rushed first to a local doctor n later to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital said Gupta where he is recovering nicely n even conversing with his near ones.
