After granting of permission to the media to enter Hathras and the village of the deceased girl allegedly gangraped (though the post mortem report has shown her death by strangulation n fractures on her neck etc but not raped) reporting from the ground zero, hundreds of UP police n senior officials have gathered at the Noida DND flyover n Noida express Highway to maintain law n order as the Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi and former Congress president Rahul Gandhi have started from Delhi heading towards Hathras saying that nobody can dare to stop them.
About 35 member of parliament are also accompanying the brother sister duo travelling in two buses.
According to the media reports they will be stopped at the DND flyover as hundreds of policemen have gathered at the Noida expressway. Priyanka Gandhi is herself driving her vehicle with Rahul on her side. However, there is 144 act imposed here not allowing more that five persons to assemble.
Meanwhile, the deputy chief secretary home and the DGP UP police have reached the victim’s house and are meeting the traumatic family members consoling and conversing with them with entire electronic n print media covering the developments after being granted permission by the UP government.
There are large number of police personnel assembled here to maintain law and order as well. The DGP Police n deputy secretary home, UP government are trying to pacify the parents of the deceased girl. The senior officers interacted with the family for an hour or so. They would be addressing the media thereafter at the police station said the DGP
This seems to be a confidence building measure by the state government as the traumatic family has already expressed their reservations about the ongoing investigations by the SIT n alleged application of the pressure on them especially by the police n the DM.
The deceased’s brother asked a reporter of a news channel if she had ever seen Narco test being conducted on the traumatic n aggrieved family members of a rape victim who had died.
After talking to the family members, the DGP went to Chandpa Kotwali deliberating with the police officials where he may address the media after some time.
The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath had already talked to the father of the deceased two days ago through a vedio call and assured of Rs 25 lakhs as financial compensation including a house and government job to a member of the grief stricken family.
However, the family has strongly opposed the clandestine burning of the deceased girl’s dead body at a secluded place sprinkling petrol n not handing it to the family to perform her last rites according to the Hindu rites.
The deceased’s brother while speaking to an ABP reporter has even said that they are not aware if the dead body consigned to flames was of his sister or somebody else’s.
The entire Hathras n the village of the deceased girl have been converted into a police Chhavni report the mediamen with till yesterday night not a single person n media being allowed to move in or out. Two days ago Congress leaders Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi n several Congress leaders and workers were not allowed to go to Hathras n arrested at the Noida expressway with Rahul physically manhandled.
The advocate of Nirbhaya of Delhi Seema Kushwaha was also disallowed to enter the village of the deceased girl in Hathras yesterday after she reached Chandpa with lot of heated arguments between her and the district magistrate shown in a vedio going viral in social media inviting tremendous criticism.
Supreme court advocate Seema Kushwaha who stood rock solid with the distraught family of Nirbhaya of Delhi and fought the case tooth n nail a protracted battle finally leading to death sentence to all the culprits has assured the deceased girl’s family of fighting her case hands down to ensure justice to her family. Meanwhile Uma Bharti, former union minister and firebrand saffron leader Uma Bharti who is presently admitted in AIIMS, Rishikesh being treated for Corona had yesterday tweeted that the UP chief minister should not disallow the media to meet the traumatic family of the deceased in Hathras village.
In a series of tweets Uma Bharti blamed the Uttar Pradesh government n CM Adityanath saying that the mediamen should be allowed to meet the distressed n grief stricken family. She said : We have recently inaugurated the Ram Temple construction project n also committed of establishing RAM RAJYA but in view of the doubtful actions of UP police, the image of UP government n the BJP have been badly deteriorated n denigrated.
Meanwhile according to the latest news the SP Hathras n some police officers have been suspended.
