OnePlus 8 series: What all you need to know before you buy?

The upcoming week is going to be packed with utmost excitement for the tech savvies! It’s because the majorly renowned One plus is going to reveal the much-awaited One Plus 8 series any time in the upcoming week. The series includes 3 phones- OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Lite The benchmark has been set at a rather higher standard for OnePlus series since the china-based company has already launched the teaser of this cool phone in various commercials.

Also, many sources associated with OnePlus confirm that a Pro model i.e. the ‘Beast of specifications’ would mark its existence this year. Increase in GST and company price revision will result in a rise in prices comparing to previous year models.

It’s quite notable that OnePlus makes incredible performance packed phones, but they lack some features that would be an obstacle in their path towards becoming the “True Flagship Phones”. But the company is intending to give a tight competition to Industry top-rated smartphones like Samsung S20 and iPhone 11 series with OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro models.

Along with these two models, one “Lite” version is also rumoured to be launched as is being tested on Geek bench ahead of its launch.

You might be curious to know about the features ahead of the launch, so let us give you a sneak peek how OnePlus 8 series will look.

OnePlus 8:

Every year OnePlus injects its models with latest features steroids so that they can be the best in-game. This year also, OnePlus is taking the game to the next level. It is not only upgrading the one to raise the bar for its predecessor OnePlus 7t, but also bringing it closer to the bigger model OnePlus 7T pro.

The phone will be getting a similar curved glass edge like the pro model along with the power of Snapdragon 865 with UFS 3.0 storage.

On mentioning about the display, we can see 6.4 inches super smooth 90Hz AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. This year One plus replaces the notch with punch hole holding the 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

Warp Charging is the future of OnePlus and as per feedback from the OnePlus community the company powered the phone with 4000mAh battery using the Warp Charge 30T technology.

“Triple cameras are in trend “

OnePlus eight is said to be getting the triple camera setup at the back of the phone. The first sensor will be a 48-megapixel sensor along with 16 megapixel wide-angle and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera.

OnePlus 8 Pro:

OnePlus 8 Pro, the big brother gets the power of 5G which becomes the first OnePlus phone to get this feature. Apart from that, all other upgrades will be notably similar to OnePlus 8.

Surprisingly, the refresh rate is now boosted to 120Hz, and the display still stands at 6.67-inch quad-HD+ curved AMOLED display. But the significant change is the punch hole camera making its way instead of pop up camera.

Pro model still has Warp Charge 30T technology, but the battery is upgraded to 4500 mAh. Although 30W wireless charging will be the new upgraded, we can see this year.

Talking about the camera, the phone consists of 48-megapixel primary camera paired with another 48-megapixel wide lens. There will be an eight-megapixel telephoto camera having optical zoom 3X with 5-megapixel colour filter camera.

OnePlus 8 lite

According to some rumours, the smallest model of One plus 8 will come with 6.40-inch touchscreen display. Although the battery will be similar to OnePlus 8 as 4000 mAh, it will be supporting proprietary Fast Charging.

As per the rumours, OnePlus 8 lite will have a rear camera, and it will run on OxygenOS based Android. The phone includes WIFI, USB type-C and face unlock feature.

Expected price:

OnePlus will be revealing the prices next week during the launch, but CEO Pete Lau himself suggested that costs won’t exceed 1000 dollars. In India, we can expect Rs 40,000 for OnePlus 8 whereas Rs 60,000 for the OnePlus 8 Pro model.
