Manish Khanduri detected Covid 19 positive

The Congress leader n member of the IT (media) department of AICC Manish Khanduri, who was the Congress candidate from the Pauri Garhwal parliamentary constituency, has tested positive for Covid 19 today.

He had informed about his being infected with the pandemic through his brief social media post requesting all those who had been in touch with him during the last two days should also get themselves tested as a precautionery measure.

Manish Khanduri is the son of the former union minister during Atal Behar Vajpayee’s tenure Major General Bhuvan Chand Khanduri. He had been on his political tour of Rikhnikhal block and Srinagar Garhwal including Dehradun during the last three days and have also participated in the massive Congress rally in Dehradun today, demanding the resignation of the Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on moral grounds after the Nainital High Court had given orders to CBI to intiate enquiry into the alleged charges of corruption in the petition filed in UK HC by the proprietor of Samachar plus news channel.

Hundreds of Congress leaders and workers had participated in the massive demonstration at Dehradun today in defiance of the pandemic act when the government has already imposed restrictions on the movement in the cohesive n congested areas and gathering of large number of people. While Manish Khanduri is in Congress, his father n sister are in BJP with sister being the BJP lawmaker from Yamkeshwar legislative constituency.
