Maharashtra n Goa governor goes by a private plane to Dehradun after being denied permission by government plane
The governor of Maharashtra n Goa, Bhagat Singh Koshiyari was not granted permission by the state government of Maharashtra to hire a state government plane for Dehradun today morning.
The governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari and his entourage was slated to go to Dehradun at 10. 00 AM and had gone to the Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai and occupied seats in government plane expecting the permission from the state government for which the necessary letters etc had already been sent to the chief minister of Maharashtra and the chief secretary.
Usually the permission arrive at the nick of time and the governor’s staff was expecting the same But after waiting for quite some time at the Airport/ govt plane when the permission didn’t arrived, the governor hurriedly hired a private plane at 12.15 and boarded the flight for Dehradun from where he went to Mussourie to attend a function. The Maharashtra n Goa governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari is to attend the 122nd IAS induction programme slated for Friday in Mussourie at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration.
The former chief minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis has taken a very serious view of this incident accusing the Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP government including its CM Udhav Thakrey for intentionally insulting the high office of the governor who is the constitutional head of the state and fully entitled for the government plane as and when required being the constitutional head of the state enjoying all privileges. This has never happened earlier he said.
He said the government’s plane is not the personal property of anyone and the action smells of the vindictive attitude of the government. He tweeted: Government’s plane is not anyone’s property! Making honourable governer get off the plane ? Where does so much ego in the MVA government come from ? Never ever seen such an egoistic government in Maharashtra tweeted former CM Fadnavis.
Reacting to the BJP’s accusations against his government and the chief minister, Shiv Sena’s vociferous MP n spokesman Sanjay Raut said that the governor was going in his private function and moreover when he delayed the recommended names of the legislative council by Maharashtra government ( Cabinet committee) a year ago that what would you say about this partisan or prejudiced behaviour of the governor. Let it go now, we don’t play such a cheap tactics he added.
According to the latest news : This extreme step of the Maharashtra administration of not granting accent to the governor’s request despite the chief minister n the chief secretary very much aware of the governor’s request for the state plane has generated quite a tussle between the BJP and the MVP government with the political tussle and war of words between the saffron party leaders and it’s betenoires Shiv Sena coming in the open.
It may be recalled that Maharashtra n Goa governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari is quite active in his various social engagements unlike other governors active on his Twitter handle n Facebook. Those having been in confrontation with the Maharashtra government especially Kangana Ranaut n union state minister Athawale n Bollywood actor Sonu Sood who helped the migrant workers during pandemic lockdown have met him including several other prominent personalities like Hema Malini, BJP MP etc. A former chief minister of Uttarakhand n member of parliament from Nainital Bhagat, governor Singh Koshiyari is a bachelor having dedicated his entire life in politics being a RSS pracharak in his young days. A down to earth human being with affable nature Bhagat Singh Koshiyari in his capacity as the former CM Uttarakhand was among other former CMs against whom their was a case of pending rent n had approached Supreme Court to seek immunity being granting stay as was the union minister of HRD Dr. Nishant Pokhriyal got the relief of stay for the time being.
