Maharashtra Governor at Dehradun. CM Trivendra n Speaker meet him n Governor meets her counterpart Maurya

The Maharashtra Governor and former chief minister of Uttarakhand n MP from Nainital, Bhagat Singh Koshiyari today reached Dehradun on a personal visit to attend a family function of the Uttarakhand speaker Prem Aggrawal. After reaching Jolly Grant Airport he was received n welcomed by leaders of Bhartiya Jana Party n the ministers n accorded welcome by present bouquets n garlends. From here he headed for his defence colony residence where the chief minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat met him in the evening and confabulated on various issues. it was purely a courtsey call.

The Maharashtra Governor visited the Raj Bhawan and presented a bouquet to Uttarakhand Governor Baby Rani Maurya. Bhagat Singh Koshiyari would be attending a function of State speaker Prem Kumar Aggrawal and shall be leaving for Maharashtra tomorrow morning reveal news reports. The Maharashtra Governor has filed a petition in the supreme court just a day before yesterday requesting for granting of stay on the contempt proceedings by the Nainital high court regarding his non response to the notice of the HC last year pertaining to the payment of dues worth Rs 47 lakhs in connection with the official bungalow’s outstanding market rent allotted to former chief minister Bhagat Singh Koshiyari after his not being the CM. Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari has through the petition in the apex court pleaded for relief on the ground that he is a sitting governor, entitled for immunity etc including slapping of excessive market rent n not giving him the chance by the High Court to put his point of view forth in the court before issuing contempt proceedings against him.
