The Left Parties of Delhi State today held a massive protest demonstration against Hatras Gangrape and Murder of a 19 year old girl and also against attempted cover ups by UP government and the state police.
This demonstrators were addressed by D. Raja , General Secretary CPI, Binoy Viswam, MP, CPI National Secretary, Prof. Dinesh Varshney, Secretary CPI Delhi State, K.M. Tiwari, Secretary CPIM, Delhi State, Sucheta Dey, Leader CPI (ML) and comrade Santosh of CGPI.
While addressing CPI president D. Raja said that the UP Yogi government is trying to cover up, through diversionary tactics, the most henious acts of Hatras Gangrape and murder of young Dalit girl. He accused the UP CM Yogi Adityanath of arbitrarily patronising the casteist politics.
He said : we demand supreme court monitored probe in this Rape and murder of Hathras victim and family. He also demanded that all those ddminstrative and police officials responsible for the lapse in this case should also be questioned and if found guilty stringently penalised.
Binoy Viswam MP while addressing said that this not the India we fought for. Modi and Yogi govt is attacking democratic rights every where. Communal and caste narrative is patronised. Hathras victim and her family must be provided honest justice.
The protest gave call to all its units in Delhi to fight for the cause of the victim in Delhi localities.
