Kejrival n Sisodia pray in Akshardham Temple with their wives n ministers on Deepawali

The chief minister of NCT of Delhi Arvind Kejrival, Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia and all the cabinet ministers today held pujan at Akshardham Temple alongwith with their wives on the occassion of Deepawali at 6.39 PM sharp with the chief minister claiming in his tweet that about 1.5 crore Delhi citizens have simultaneously prayed with them.

The Chief minister and deputy chief minister Arvind Kejrival n Manish Sisodia were seated with the saffron clad priest on the main stage in front of the Mahalakshmi n other dieties with the minister’s, MLAs n their family members and other invitees sitting in the front of chairs. The venue inside the was immaculately decorated with red carpet etc giving quite a fascinating lavish look.

The health minister Satyendra Jain n other ministers were also present in the pujan of Goddess Mahalakshmi. It may be recalled that chief minister Arvind Kejrival has on Wednesday through a digital press conference invited Delhites to participate in this prayer at 6.39 in their respective residences with the programme being lively telecast.

The chief minister has also requested Delhites not to use firecrackers in this Deepawali in view of the widespread pollution disastrous for Delhites especially during this pandemic times. It’s also punishable under the law with imprisonment and monetary fine. But unfortunately, the law forbidding Delhites not to burst firecrackers in Deepawali has hardly forbidden Delhites as the crackers burst sounds have deafened peoples’ ears spreading pollution hardly creating any fear of law with Delhi police almost a failure.

This is indeed shocking, especially during the pandemic times when people are dying daily and pandemic having assumed multiple proportion. There are more than eight thousand cases of Covid 19 being detected on daily basis but it hardly matters for Delhites, keeping in view the cohesive markets with thousands of people busy in Deepawali marketing rubbing shoulders with each other, having no.fear of infecting with the dreaded pandemic.

In his tweets chief minister Arvind Kejrival has while sending his good Deepawali wishes to Delhites written: Today I have prayed with two crore people of my Dilli family and wished for the prosperity, sound health and well being of all. May all progress. Tweeted Kejrival
