Hundreds of IYC activists protest, burn effigies and court arrest against Arnab Goswami in New Delhi

New Delhi, 18 January 2021: The Indian Youth Congress under the leadership of National President Srinivas BV did a protest demonstration against Republic TV editor in chief Arnab Goswami and BJP led NDA govt over Watsapp chats and alleged National Security leak and counted arrests in New Delhi after burning his effigiy.

The India IYC president BV Shriniwas was literally lifted by a posse of policemen when he tried to break the police cordon and arrested . He was literally lifted by hands n legs n thrown into the parked DTC bus along with other Youth Congress activists.

The angered and infuriated activists also burned effigies of Arnab Goswami journalist and editor in chief of Republic TV raising slogans against him and ruling party.

Hundreds of Youth Congress activists first marched holding Congress n YC flags, raising slogans and then confronting with the police trying to break the police cordon finally arrested, lifting them and sending inside the DTC buses by policemen.

Hundreds of activists were involved in the protest, National President of the Indian Youth Congress, Srinivas B.V. said that how can someone call themselves as Nationalist when they are allegedly calling farmers terrorists, the charges vehemently rejected by the BJP leaders and it’s ministers.

Farmers can get notice of the NIA, but not Arnab Goswami and his owners who endanger the security of the country said BV Shriniwas in a press statement.

How did Arnab get to know about military secrets like the Balakot strike at least 3 days ago, he questioned ? Who leaked this information to him? This is a major safety failure and should be investigated demanded Youth Congress chief.

‘Air strike’ can be done on enemies, but what about those who are allegedly leaking such an important n sensitive informations asked IYC chief. This is not a ridiculous, but a serious matter said youth Congress presiden B V Shriniwas.

While accusing the ruling party in this regard he demanded strict action against those responsible in the context of ‘Pulwama’ and ‘Balakot Air Strike’ including Arnab Goswami.

Indian Youth Congress president Srinivas B.V. demanded that Arnab Goswami should be arrested as soon as possible and the truth should come before the country, as today India wants to know.

National media in-charge Rahul Rao said that through the leaked chat of Arnab Goswami, it has become clear in front of the country that the internal security of the country is constantly being played with, who so ever has played with the internal security of the country strict strong action should taken against them.

National General Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress and Delhi in-charge Bhaiya Pawar, National Secretaries Bunty Shelke, Mohit Chaudhary, Mukesh Kumar, Vice President of Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress Ranvijay Lochav, Shubham Sharma and several Youth Congress activists participated in the protest.
