Dr. Suwarn Rawat , Shiv Dutt Pant n others felicitated with Mohan Upreti Lok Sanskritik evom Shodh puruskar in Almora
The renowned theatre personality of Delhi and Uttarakhand, post graduate of National School of Drama Dr. Suwarn Rawat was bestowed with the significant Mohan Upreti Lok Sanskritik Kala Avam Shodh Puruskar in Almora, Uttarakhand by chief Guest of the award ceremony Padamashree Yashodhar Mathpal the other day, in the presence of hundreds of his admirers and art lovers.
The award was presented to Dr Rawat on the 7th Day culmination of RACHANA MAHOTSAV-2021 at Almora by Mohan Upreti Lok Sanskritik Kala Avom Vigyan Shodh Samittee
Dr. Madhuri Barthwal, Pt. Vijay Shankar Mishra, Zahur Alam, Manorama Joshi, Dr. Hayat Singh Rawat and Shiv Datt Pant were other important awardees on the occasion, at Okley Hall, Ramsay Intermediate College Almora, Uttarakhand.
In addition to above awardees Dr. Suresh Mathpal, Rajendra Nayal, Jeevan Chandra Joshi, Hemwanti Devi also awarded as Art Seeker & Abha Joshi with Creator Promotion Award. Pradeep Chopra & Astha Chopra, Pawan Pathak ‘Pawan Pahari’, Dr. Harish Chandra Joshi were awarded as Young Talents. Besides this, Harshit Kumar was felicitated as a Child Talent. In between the award ceremony, Folk Songs & Dances were also presented by ‘Vihan-Artists’ including the short Solo- Performance by Srijan Pandey. This three day mesmerising event from 7th Feb. to 9th Feb. was ably anchored by Vibhu Krishna. On 11th Feb., ‘KAVI-SAMMELAN’ was chaired by Neeraj Pant.
The chief guest of Kavi Sammelan was Sri Tribhuwan Giri Maharaj & Guest of Honour was Dr. Sayyad Ali Ahmad. The Kavi Sammelan was keenly anchored by Meena Pandey & Pandey Kiran Pant ‘Vartika’ respectively. Mrs. Meera Joshi as an Expert, conducted few days workshop on Kumauni Folk Painting ‘AIPAN’. She was exclusively honoured for inspiring the youths for the same.
Workshop on ‘SANSKAR GEET’ was also conducted during this three day event with Municipal Councilor-Prakash Chandra Joshi & All India Radio Director- Pratul Joshi gracing the occasion with their pivotal presence. In the end, on 13th Februsry certificates were distributed among participants by President & Director Hemant Joshi. After a gap of more than nine months’ crucial Corona phase, it was really a wonderful amalgamation of Music, Dance and Drama which was dedicated to Pt. Dhruvtara Joshi, Pt. Chandra Shekhar Pant & Mohan Upreti for the last several years. At present, it’s an appreciable task that padmashri Yashodhar Mathpal, Dr. Kamal Kishor Pandey, Hemant Kumar Joshi, Dr. Deepa Joshi, Meena Pandey, Pandey Kiran Pant ‘Vartika’, Dr. Shiv Om Ambar, Kailash Pandey, Kailash Pant are associating all of us to the roots of our Cultural Heritage & Folk Arts and honouring the people from all walks of life for their contribution in their respective fields.
