Devendra Yadav gets a tumultuous reception in Dehradun

The UK Congress incharge Devendra Yadav has received a tumultuos reception at Dehradun today.

The Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee incharge and observer of AICC Devendra Yadav has reached Dehradun today where he was graciously welcomed by several prominent Congress leaders viz former Uttarakhand CM n national genetal secretary Harish Rawat who is also the incharge of Punjab Congress affairs, Uttarakhand Congress chief Pritam Singh, leader of the opposition n senior Congress leader Dr. Indira Hridayesh, former minister Shoor Veer Sajwan, all the Congress lawmakers and office bearers including the party leaders of Dehradun n various districts etc. Septuagenerian Dr. Indira Hridayesh had suffered from Covid 19 last month n was admitted in Medanta Hospital for several days.

Devendra Yadav , a former MLA from Delhi was recently appointed as Uttarakhand Congress incharge by the Congress high command after a rejig in the AICC setup. He is in Dehradun for three days and would be holding important parleys with the Uttarakhand Congress leaders, office bearers and the district presidents who have been asked to be present in Dehradun for three days till the stay of the Uttarakhand Congress incharge. This is the first visit of Yadav in the state. What is significant in today’s reception of Devendra Yadav is that all the leaders of the alleged warring factions within the Congress are present today giving the impression of all being united to stringly counter the ruling BJPs influence in the state.

During the few months the Uttarakhand Congress has been organising various protest demonstrations, dharnas’ etc in Dehradun n inyeriors of the hilly state agaunst the ruling BJP on regional as well as national issues putting the ruling political dispensation under question on issues like unemployment n alleged corruption including incresing crime graph etc.

The state assembly elections are due for 2022 and as such the Congress party being the main opposition is trying hard to take on the BJP by exposing it on various fronts. The former UP CM n state president Harish Rawat had also been quite active in the state despite his being the national general secretary of AICC with Assam Congress Incharge earlier and now of Congress.

He is so active and mobile even having being of 72 years of age that just few days ago he demonstrated in SIDCUL with hundreds of Congress workers n courted arrests and was in Punjab the other day hammering out differences between Sidhu, Bajwa n the CM Amrinder Singh.

He was thereafter in Bihar campaigning for Congress candidates accompanying Rahul Gandhi and today he is in Dehradun to welcome the new young Congress observer Devendra Yadav, still keeping his eyes of precision on the 2022 elections probably keeping alive his dream to become the Uttarakhand chief minister.
