Delhi govt to give pulse oximeters to patients in home isolation

The Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival patting his own back today said that the Corona virus situation in Delhi has improved as the recovery rate in the national capital is more than fifty percent almost equal to the active cases of Covid 19.

He catagorically said that the testings in Delhi has now been tripled with the help of the union government. He added that previously the Delhi government carried 5000 tests daily but today the antigen tests have gone to about 18000 numbers daily.

He assured that the testing may go further ahead in the days to come.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival was as usual addressing his virtual press conference.

Arvind Kejrival said that now the Delhi government will give pulse oximeters to those patients who are facing oxygen shortage to measure oxygen levels while in home quarantine. These pulse oximeters will be taken back from the patients after they get fully cured. Kejrival added that if the oxygen level dips Covid 19 patients can call on the help line numbers. The state government has arranged a special team with oxygen concentrators in every district.

The special team with oxygen concentrators will reach the homes of quarantined patients if need arises added Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival.

Commending our brave soldiers safeguarding our borders and fighting the enemy forces sacrificing their precious lives n docters serving in hospitals with zeal n dedication, Arvind Kejrival said that the warriors at border and hospitals are exceptionally doing their best in the line of duty.

It may be recalled that the Covid 19 cases are witnessing a massive surge in Delhi with the national capital detecting more than three thousand infections about 3223 cases during the last 24 hours.

Presently Delhi has about 56746 cases with recovery of 31 thousand patients n 2118 Covid 19 deaths. However, despite Delhi government’s claims of good number of vacant beds in Delhi’s hospitals there have been several complaints of non availability of beds, alleged misbehave with the Covid 19 patients n their families and negligence in treatment of the patients including ferring several patients of Covid 19 with their caretakers in a single ambulance etc risking the lives on non Covid persons.

There are several complaints from Delhi government hospitals in particular. Several news vedios especially the “Scoop Whoop” You tube visuals with its reporter prima faciely talking to the distressed patients’ literally weeping in grief in front of camera, after losing their near n dear ones, due to negligence in LNJP hospital has shaken those watching it from inside.

The union home minister Amit Shah had convened yet another meeting through vedio conferening yesterday in view of the rapid surge in Covid 19 cases in Delhi.

The home minister spoke to Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival n Deputy CM Manish Sisodia including AIIMS Director Dr. Randeep Guleria n DDMA in which as per detailed strategy formalised by the AIIMS director it was strongly felt to enhance antigen tests in about 300 containment areas in Delhi on the formula of tracing, testing n treatment, strict adherence to Covid 19 norms like maintaining social distance, wearing of masks, sanitisation etc with special instructions to the Delhi police commissioner to exercise stringent measures to ensure that those not wearing masks n violating Covid 19 precautionery norms are dealt with severely.
