Delhi CM pays a cheque of Rs 1 crore to the bereaved family of deceased Corona warrior, assures job to his wife

The Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival on Wednesday visited the aggrieved family of the deceased doctor in IP Extention, East Delhi who succumbed to dreaded Covid 19 while dedicatedly serving the Covid 19 patients in a Delhi government dispensary at Karkardooma and paid his deepest condolences and heartfelt tributes, consoling the traumatic family.

The chief minister met the martyred Corona warrior Dr. Hitesh Gupta’s anguished mother and paid the cheque of Rs one crore as financial compensation as announced by the Delhi government in April.

While expressing his immense gratitude on behalf of the Delhi government for the sacrifice of Dr. Hitesh Gupta while rendering treatment to the Covid 19 patients, chief minister Arvind Kejrival also assured of a government job to his wife. We will help them in every possible way said the chief minister.

The Delhi government had so far given financial assistance to many doctors, paramedical staff, policemen and sanitary workers who had succumbed to Covid 19 while rendering their dedicated services in Delhi government hospitals, dispensaries and health centres etc during the ongoing pandemic.

In the month of April, the Delhi government had announced a scheme to financially support the families of the corona warriors who lose their lives while treating the Covid 19 patients including giving a government job to a member of the bereaved family.

Dr. Hitesh Gupta was infected while treating Covid 19 patients in Karkardooma Delhi government dispensary and was hospitalised but unfortunately he lost his life during the treatment.
