Covid 19 virus penetrates in Uttarakhand Jails, total tally reaches 5961

The Corona virus spread in Uttarakhand is though on quite a low pace as compared to other states of the country but from the hill state’s point of view the spread had been perpetual since the day one.

After infecting the political leaders, ministers n their family including the devotees as witnessed in the case of cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj, policemen, health workers etc now this dreaded virus have penetrated into the Jails of Uttarakhand as well, with total ten Covid 19 cases reported from Nainital and Dehradun jails.

The BJP general secretary Kuldeep Kumar, his son n the driver too have been found Covid 19 positive. According to the latest bulletin of 8 PM twenty five corona warrior, ( health workers) have been found Covid 19 positive making the health department worried.

The surge in the infections among the front line corona warriors is indeed a worrisome factor report the health authorities. In all, Uttarakhand today detected 244 cases of Covid 19 from various parts of Uttarakhand with the total state tally going to 5961.

However, the recovery rate of Uttarakhand is quite laudable with about 3495 Covid 19 patients cured till date. The total tally off active cases therefore is 2365 with 63 fatalities.

Till now about one lakh tests have been done in Uttarakhand since March 2020. Today 3465 test samples have been sent for examination the results of which are expected in a day or two whereas 6396 persons are already waiting for their test results.

The recovery rate in Uttarakhand has come down to 58 percent which was more than seventy percent earlier.
