Congress’s Youth wing to pay nationwide tribute to farmers martyred in farmers movement

New Delhi, 07 January 2020:

The Indian Youth Congress will pay nationwide tribute to the peasents who were martyred in the ongoing farmers agitation against the alleged black agricultural laws of the Modi government under the “Ek Diya Shaheedo Ke Naam” program.

National Media In-charge of Youth Congress, Rahul Rao said that on the call of National President of Indian Youth Congress, Srinivas BV , the Indian Youth Congress workers in all states and districts of the country on Friday, January 8 at 6 pm would gather and pay tribute to the martyred farmers by lighting Diya, lamps, in order to pay their richest tributes and expressing their solidarity with their genuine demands. Terming the farmers as the soul of the country the IYC media spokesman said that Modi government is insulting the Annadata by not accepting their legitimate demands, this is why they have called upon the youth of the country, the leaders and activists of the National, Provincial and all districts of the Youth Congress to gather at 6 pm on Friday and pay tributes to the martyred farmers by lighting a diya for the rights and self-respect of the Annadata.

He added that the Youth Congress will walk shoulder to shoulder in this fight of the farmers. Youth Congress will not leave the Annadata alone.
