Congress’s oldest pillar 93 year old Moti Lal Vora is no more, breathes his last in AIIMS

A strongest pillar and senior Congress leader, former governor of Uttar Pradesh n treasurer of AICC, ninety three year old Moti Lal Viral is no more.

He breathed his last at All India Institute of Medical Science where he was admitted on Saturday after complaining of cough, fewer,. Body ache and breathing complications.

Moti Lal Vora had participated in a demonstration at the Central Bureau of Investigation headquarter in Delhi on Friday as a part of the party’s nationwide protests campaign demanding the removal of the top brass for its partisan and politically vindictive actions against Congress and the non BJP opposition leaders selectively.

The 93 year old Congress leader suffered from fatigue, cough and fever complaining of breathing complications.

He was rushed to AIIMS where he was kept uon ventilator. The AIIMS health bulletin however has shown sign of progress in his health but he died today after being on ventilator in ICU.

The Congress has suffered two tremendous setbacks during a month or two, first losing its significant pillar Ahmed Patel and now veteran leader Moti Lal Vora.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has while expressing his condolences on Voraji,’s sad demise tweeted : Voraji was a true Congressman and a wonderful human being. We will miss him very much. My love and condolences to his family and friends. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi tweeted : On the death of Moti Lal Voraji each and every Congressmen and it’s leader are deeply anguished. Voraji was a symbol of patience, commitment and dedication towards the Congress ideology tweeted Priyanka Gandhi posting her pic with the senior leader. He was the treasurer of Congress party for several years but had resigned due to his ailing heath the respinsibiity given to Ahmed Patel n unfortunately today both the strongest Congress pillars, money arrangers for the oldest party and advisors to the Congress president Sonia are no more.

Born on 20th December 1928 Moti Lal Vohra was six term lawmaker from undivided Madhya Pradesh and chief minister from 1985 to 1989 twice. He was the governor of Uttar Pradesh from 1993 to 1996. In 1998 he was elected as MP n had been the observer of Uttarakhand and treasurer for several years finally voluntarily giving up the treasurership by resigning due to old age n ailing health after which Ahmed Patel was appointed as party’s treasurer.
