Congress organises nationwide Kisan ADHIKAR DIWAS expressing solidarity with agitating farmers

The Congress party today organised Kisan Adhikari DIWAS all over the country under which the state Congress units at the pan India level organised protest demonstrations at various state capitals and district and block headquarters including courting of arrests in thousands in support of the ongoing farmers movement demanding withdrawal of three contentious agricultural laws and against the inflated prices of petroleum products including cooking gas etc. The protest demonstrations were organised by thousands of Congress workers, leaders and office bearers gheraoing the Governor offices at all the state capitals presenting memorandum demanding repeal of the 3 agricultural laws n enactment of law on MSP etc. The former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi alongwith hundreds of Congress leaders and party workers also staged a protest demonstration as a part of the KISAN ADHIKAR DIWAS outside the Delhi’s Lt governor Anil Baijal’s resident extending their solidarity and support to the agitating farmers who’ve entered the fiftieth day of protest dharna at various borders points leading to the national capital, Delhi.

The Congress protestors were raising pro farmers and anti government slogans demanding repeal of the farm laws. The vociferous former Congress president Rahul Gandhi in the presence of Priyanka Gandhi has in a vedio released in his Twitter handle while criticising the NDA government said in Hindi, the verbatim translation of which is below:

What peasents produce, whether they will be benefitted with it, this question was first raised at Bhatta Parasaul UP. The Congress party responded to this question by bringing the Land acquisition Bill, Modiji tried to abolish it. We stopped them. The second step of the govt was , bringing in three agricultural laws that are to finish the farmers.

The days food security will eclipse/ disappear, the farmers autonomy will also vanish. However, the farmers have realised that their autonomy is being finished, and they stood up. But the nation is not understanding. If the freedom of the farmers is curtailed, then comes into picture the middle class followed by the working class n then IT professionals. The entire country will be ruled by five persons. They think Kisans have no power, they will go back in 15 or 20 days. Because Narendra Modiji do not respect the farmers. He thinks that the farmers will go back after 15 to 30 days getting tired, out of fear or fatigue. Narendra Modiji, the farmer of India will not fear, he won’t get up, he will continue with his Dharnas and protests. Rather you will have to run. Narendra Modiji should under stand this is Hindustan, these farmers won’t run away, they are determined to sit. This is Hindustan, farmers won’t give up. You will have to run, today or later on. This is a media created illusion and it is likely to shatter. The day this media created illusion will demolish, eclipse, you see for yourself what will happen ? said vociferous Rahul Gandhi. Alongwith his vedio while addressing the media today Rahul Gandhi tweeted : The illusion of Modi has been shattered, the proud of Modi government will also be shattered, but the courage n determination of ANNDAATA has neither broken nor will be broken in future. The government will have to revoke the anti Agricultural laws tweeted Rahul Gandhi. General Secretary of Congress is also seen with Rahul Gandhi in the vedio with farmers.

In another earlier tweet while appealing people to join the Congress satyagrah Rahul Gandhi wrote: The farmers ” Anndaataas” of the country are protesting ( doing Satyagraha) against the proudy Modi government. Today, entire nation is raising it’s voice of dissent against the atrocities on farmers and rising prices of Petrol n Diesal. You also join and be a part of this Satyagraha tweeted Rahul.
