Agitating farmers to observe a day’s fast in support of their demands on Monday, Kejrival to observe fast as well

The agitating farmers of the country against the three agricultural laws of the union government have given a call for going on a days fast in support their demands for revocation of these laws and enactment of a law on MSP on Monday urging farmers and countrymen to observe it as well in order to express their solidarity with the farmers cause. This annoucement was made by the leader of the struggling farmers Gurnam Singh Chaduni on behalf of the forty two farmers unions of the country spearheading this two weeks old movement in a press conference at the Singhu border on Sunday.

Mr. Chaduni appealed to the agitating farmers as well as the entire farmers of the country to remain of fast from early morning till evening as a mark of solidarity to the ongoing struggle of thousands of farmers staging protest demonstrations cum Dharna at various entry points of borders leading to Delhi. The farmers leader also appealed to the farmers of the country to also stage Dharna cum protests at their respective state and district headquarters on Monday in support of the agitating farmers of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and other parts of the country.

Meanwhile the Delhi chief minister and national convenor of Aam Admi Party Arvind Kejrival has also appealed to countrymen, leaders and workers of AAP to observe one day fast to express their unflinching solidarity with the struggling farmers of the country on Monday at all costs with himself also pledging to go on a days fast in support of the Kisan movement.

Speaking to ANI, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival while expressing his party’s complete solidarity with the ongoing farmers movement and appealing to countrymen and AAP cadre to observe fast on Monday, accused the ministers and the leaders of Bhartiya Janata Party of trying to pre strategically sabotage the farmers movement by hatching a conspiracy of labelling fabricated accusations on farmers of playing in the hands of Khalistan terrorists as well as anti nationals. He questioned are thousands of farmers fighting peacefully for a noble cause anti nationals ?

Are the sons of the farmers serving in Indian Army protecting our nation anti nationals ? Are the doctors, engineers, singers, actors of Punjab n Bollywood and international and national players bringing laurels for the nation who are sons n daughters of the farmers anti national ? Asked Kejrival to the BJP leaders n ministers.

Delhi CM accused both the the BJP leaders n government of trying to sabotage the movement of the farmers in the same way as the movement against corruption of crusader against corruption Anna Hazare was derailed by the then Congress regime before 2014.

Terming the three agricultural laws of the ruling party as strictly anti farmers and pro capitalists, Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival said that these laws have the provision of storing as much as the agricultural produce these rich businessmen can, without any ceiling as used to be earlier, thus giving them free hand to skyrocket the prices of the essential commodities thus earning huge profits compelling the farmers to surrender themselves to the big business houses, lending their farms to corporate house for contract farming.

He said that the governments exist because of the farmers and farmers don’t exist because at the former’s mercy. He said that not only the farmers of the country are united today in favour of the enactment of new law on MSP and repealing of all the three agricultural laws but the lower and upper middle class n people of all the sections of the society are standing with them in complete solidarity.

Delhi CM appealed to the central BJP led NDA government to surrender before the ongoing protests of lakhs of farmers of the country by withdrawing the three farm laws n agreeing to enact a new law on MSP failing which it will have to be ready to confront the wrath of the farmers of the country n confront the severe consequences.
