The one time popular bollywood actor , model and producer of the nineties smart n handsome, especially the hero of a super duper hit blockbuster ASHIQUE in 1990 produced n directed by none other than Mahesh Bhatt is back home, after being in a private Mumbai hospital for several days recuperating after the treatment from acute brain stroke suffered during the shooting of a movie Kargil, The last battle, in Kargil in which he performed the role of Colonel ij Indian Army.
Rahul Roy who became unconscious in a hotel in Kargil not able to speak due to neurological complications was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital initially but shifted to Mumbai after his health condition deteriorated becoming quite precarious.
He was admitted in a private Mumbai hospital for several weeks finally coming out of his critical neurogical complications, returning back home.
The bollywood actor now in his sixties has thanked his fans, well wishers and relatives for taking good care of him and blessing him through prayers, during his bad days in the hospital.
According to his instagram post the recovered actor Rahul Roy wrote : I am back home after a long treatment in the hospital. I am recoveing and it is still a long journey for full recovery. Kinfly recall that Rahul Roy is 52 years old originally from Bengal but studied n brought up in Mumbai. His debut as a Bollywood hero was in Mahesh Bhatt’s Ashique with Anu Agrawal as a debut heroine in 1990. He thereafter was a hero with Karishma Kapoor in Sudhakar Bodake’s Sapne Sajan Ke in 1992. Honoured with the membership is the international film and television club of Asian Academy of Film and Television, Rahul Roy acted with his outstanding performance in another movie n 1993 viz Teri Kahani Yaad Ayegi, an autobiographical film, with later working in Vikram Bhatt’s directed Janam in the lead role. Winner of the Big Boss first season in 2006, Rahul Roy also released his first produced movie in Bihar titled Ellan with Rituparna Sen in a lead role.
A tall and handsome Rahul Roy had been off screen for a decade or so, finally doing a significant role in Kargil War, The Battle, in which he suffered a brain stroke while shooting in the freezing temperatures of Kargil in December.
