42 yr old culprit arrested by Satpuli Police who injured n allegedly sexually assaulted a girl last month

The Satpuli police of Pauri Garhwal Uttarakhand has finally trapped the culprit of Chowbatta Khal Tehsil of district Pauri Garhwal who had allegedly physically assaulted a college going girl of Chowbatta khal with an intent to sexually assualt, injuring the terrified girl who was admitted in Kotdwar hospital for several days.

The brave girl who had resisted the alleged attempt to sexually assault her by this 42 year old culprit was also grievously unjured in the head n other body parts by an attack as well.

This obnoxious incident in a secluded place in Chowbattakhal had outraged the people of the entire Pauri Garhwal district, particularly the Chaundkot Block residents who had protested by staging dharnas and demonstration to pressurise the revenue as well as the regular police to stringently penalise the culprit in order to provide justice to the victim.

The Jago Uttarakhand Web portal was the first to take the initiative promptly to highlight this obnoxious incident by visiting the concerned village and meeting the victimised girl n her distressed parents.

After this incident, there was complete terror among the school and college going girls n children, including their parents, becoming apprehensive of forthcoming terror of criminals in the area of the otherwise tranquil Chowbattalhal.

According to the latest news after the media hype the case was transferred to the regular police from revenue police, after it failed to arrest the culprit.

Thereafter the police station incharge of Satpuli Tribhuvan Singh Rautela alongwith his efficient team commenced the investigations.

Acting on the basis of the concrete clues given by the brave girl about the culprit’s appearence etc whom she didn’t knew at all, the Satpuli police cracked on a 42 year old culprit n raided his house at 12 last night and arrested him. He had admitted to have committed the crime under the influense of liquor in an inebriated condition, not knowing the victim personally.

The culprit Mangal Singh Ramola was arrested from his village Dharasu, in Chowbattakhal after relentless efforts of Satpuli police says Ashutosh Negi, editor of Jago Uttarakhand.

The police has also been successful in grabbing blood stained clothes from a nearby crematorium as concrete evidence after the interrogation of the culprit.

According to the CO Pauri, Garhwal, Vandana Verma an FIR has been registered against the culprit under various sections of IPC viz 376, 325, 506 and 511.
