Fmr minister of Ukhand Amrita Rawat admitted at AIIMS, Rishikesh after being detected positive for Covid 19

Minister of Tourism, Culture, Irrigation of Uttarakhand Satpal Maharaj, his wife n former minister Amrita Rawat

While there is spurt of more than 800 cases of Covid 19 in various parts of Uttarakhand, according to the latest news, the former cabinet minister of Uttarakhand during Congress tenures Amrita Rawat who’s the wife of the present minister of Tourism, Irrigation and Cuture Satpal Maharaj has been detected Covid 19 positive creating quite a tension amongst the followers and health department and government circles.

Former minister, also pronounced as Mataji by her religious followers Amrita Rawat has been admitted to Rishikesh AIIMS and is being treated for this infection. It is believed that she must have been infected by the contagious Corona virus while meeting n interacting with her followers in her private circular road office, guest house cum residence in Dehradun recently. After being detected positive the circular road residence cum office and guest house has been sealed. About 41 other persons have also been quarantined suspected to have been infectious of Covid 19 desease.

There are speculation that since the minister of Tourism, Irrigation and Culture Satpal Maharaj has attended cabinet meetings n had also visited his constituency with his wife, the health department dealing with Covid 19 may conduct more tests on persons having come in contact with them. While the cases of Covid 19 are witnessing horrific jump since the last week especially after the return of people from various states of the country, the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat is holding number of meetings with senior officers to control the situation by exercising maximum restraints n precautions despite certain relaxations. So far about two lakh migrants have returned to Uttarakhand.

  1. Wishing her a speedy recovery . How come the common norms of social distancing were not followed by her ? Is it necessary to meet people in these testing times, get infected and/or infect others ?
    India needs a population control bill immediately as contagious diseases spread quickly in densely populated areas
    Its estimated that due to lockdown Indias population will highly increase and by December to January 2021 a lot of babies will be born since most people are sitting idle at home not knowing what else to do : )
