Delhi govt all set to deal with Coronavirus victims even if the figure mounts to 100 daily, assures Kejriwal

The Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has assured Delhiites that his government is fully competent to incredibly tackle the crucial situation in Delhi in case the deadly Corona Virus cases mount to 100 in a day. He further added that his highly competent team of doctors led by Dr. SAREEN has devised a concrete plan in detail about possible availability of sufficient rooms to admit patients in isolation, hospital beds, ambulances, number of doctors, nursing staff, medicines etc. and is fully competent to deal with patients infected by Covid 19 virus from 100 to 1000 numbers. As on date, the team of doctors under senior Dr. Sareen’s stewardship is fully prepared to tackle 100 numbers of Corona virus-infected patients in a day (in case it really happens), and therefore, the Delhiites need not worry at all.

Appealing Delhiites to maintain social distancing at all costs and to stay indoors, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal revealed that his government has planned to arrange lunches and dinner for around four lakh persons hailing from the poorest sections of the society in Delhi, from tomorrow onwards. He said that at present, the Delhi government is serving food to twenty thousand people hailing from labour categories, the majority of whom are migrants from other states, especially Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Bengal, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. This is being served in more than 250 shelter homes of the Delhi government in various localities of the capital. All these people hailing from the poorest strata of the society have lost their jobs and adversely affected by the lockdown, thus becoming penniless.

Delhi CM Kejriwal said that 325 government schools have been chosen to cook meals – lunch and dinner and distribute to the poor people every day numbering 4 lakhs. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal assured the Bengal and Jharkhand CMs Mamta Banerjee and Hemant Soren that they need not worry about the plight of the migrants of their states. His government will ensure that these migrants are taken care of fully to the maximum possible extent. Kejriwal clarified that his government would ensure that the migrants of all the states of the country living in Delhi will be duly taken care of and protected at all costs.

Arvind Kejriwal also lauded the philanthropic services in supplying foodstuffs to the poor in Delhi by ISCON, Gurudwara managements n scores of NGO. However, Kejriwal appealed to the needy to exercise restraint while taking foodstuff by keeping a sufficient distance. He said that if social distancing is not maintained, the entire exercise to serve meals to the poor and needy will be in jeopardy leading to the spread of dreaded Coronavirus in the society.

It may be recalled that the total number of Coronavirus cases in India have grown to 720 with 17 death cases till now.
